Computational Fluid Dynamics Community Club Recent Developments in Grid Generation Faculty of Engineering, University of Bristol Thursday 14 September 1995 The Chairman for the day will be Dr N. P. Weatherill from University College, Swansea. Topics ====== Grid Generation lies at the heart of many CFD applications. An appropriately chosen grid can have a great effect on the accuracy and speed of an application code. The seminar will present recent developments in Grid Generation as applied to CFD and related subject areas. Among the topics to be considered will be: * the requirements placed on grids by applications * the current status of well established methods such as multiblock and unstructured grids * novel techniques Speakers ======== Speakers will include: Jonathon Shaw (ARA) Paul Childs (Intera) Paul Selwood (University of Leeds) Paul Steer (DRA Haslar) (or a representative of his group) Richard Smith (UMIST/BAe) Timetable The day will start with registration at 9.30am followed by the first lecture at 10.00am. Lunch, tea and coffee will be included and the meeting is expected to end at around 4.30pm. Location The seminar will take place in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bristol.
